It is our aim to be the best plumbing and heating services contractor our customers have ever used and we believe that our people play a key role in helping us achieve this goal. As a Company we want to develop plumbing and heating engineers of the future and we believe that this starts with the recruitment and selection of the best apprentices.

We are always on the lookout for bright, enthusiastic individuals to join our team – and we’re recruiting right now.

We provide full training for all our new recruits, getting you qualified as simply and as quickly as we can. You can expect to be fully trained and qualified to practice within 12 months.

Continued training is offered to all our team members, and we encourage all our newly qualified plumbers to carry on with their education and turn themselves into experts.

For example, an 18-year-old can expect to be NVQ2 qualified by the age of 20, and would then benefit by continuing with training to NVQ3 level. All our qualified plumbers are paid standard industry rates, and we make sure that all Barkwell team members are given every chance to develop their careers.

All training takes place at Moor Training, our new training facility in Okehampton.
